So, HBE is re-releasing LLC's second album Gettin' Down On It. I originally worked on the artwork years ago when I first met Brenn and Joe. Brenn had most of the work done, I just had to put things together for print. Well here is the "re-vamped" cover... basically I added the new HBE logo to the front. I re-typed the info on the inside and made it look more professional.
As I grew into a better graphic designer I realized I really screwed the pooch on this one and was glad to have to opportunity to redo it and show that I've advanced my skills.
Here is another poster for Chain Smoking Records and the Rail. This one took way longer to work out than I thought it would. I don't think the Hot Seats are as serious of a band as this poster may make them look... but it's a bad ass, creepy poster.
*This poster was picked as Poster of the Day on Gigposters.com
So, I opened a DeviantArt.com account, I'm not 100% sure what exactly it's for. I was under the assumption that it was merely a site for graffiti artists but it seems I may have been mistaken.
So if you wanna check out my site: http://andersondesign.deviantart.com/
Also, my friend Jason, who collaborated on the Planet of the Whiskey Ape painting, is on there too: http://rowland1964.devianteart.com
As far as the 30 days of Goons, I know I've fallen behind. My only excuse is illness on my part. I have them drawn, just gotta scan them and post them. I'm still keeping up just not on the electronic side.
The Planet of the Whiskey Ape is hanging nicely on my living room wall, and I will post a picture as soon as the living room is picked up.
Also, look for an actual website in the coming months, Anthony Gaff and I are working on it and it will be bad ass.
So, a lot of artists do some sort of character study in their lifetime. Donny Manco and his 52 paintings of Jesus in a year or EdBot5000's sketch a day... and actually I follow a blog called "A Drawing a Day" or some shit like that. So I've decided to do 30 Days of Goons.
What are Goons? I don't know. They're these little monster things I've been drawing lately... so here is Goon #1... I have no idea why he's yelling spoon.
So recently a local stencil artist hit me up on Facebook and liked my work, so I thought I'd see if he'd be down to collaborate on a piece of work and I sent him the Planet of the Apes / Whiskey Daredevil posters and this is what he sent me. I'll put all the steps up so you can see the process.
